Did you know your neighbourhood has a public ice rink?
Every winter, our volunteers shovel, flood, and maintain the ice rink located behind King George School at 721 Ave K South.
The ice is open to anyone outside of school hours, but please share the space. Bring your skates and have some fun!
These past couple years, we upgraded the lighting, installed new benches and painted the rink boards.
Shovel Crew volunteers needed! Do you want to help keep the King George out door rink the best ice in the city? It's a real gem in the heart of our neighbourhood every winter. We need your help to keep it shovelled and clean so that young and old can enjoy skating. Contact us to get on the Shovel Crew contact list. If you require volunteer hours for school, this is a great way to contribute to the community. If you just want to help out when you can, no regular commitment is required. It can be as little at 2 hours a month!
